A woman was the victim of a sexual assault near the 7400 block of Unity Ave, Brooklyn Park, on Wednesday afternoon. The Brooklyn Park Police Department reported that the incident happened at approximately 3:15 pm. The suspect, not known to the woman, is said to be an African-American male in his mid-twenties.

Witnesses described the suspect as about 5'6" tall with a slight build. He was seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and black tennis shoes, accessorized with a black cross-body bag. He also had mid-length hair that was standing on end, a small mustache, and was reportedly holding a handgun during the attack.
