A 41-year-old Chicago man has been charged with the first-degree murder of a 74-year-old male, authorities confirmed. The suspect, identified as Shermaine Sargent, from the 3700 block of S. Sargent's arrest occurred on the 1000 block of S. Michigan on April 16, as mentioned in a Chicago Police Department release. The police identified him through an investigation as the assailant in the battery of an elderly man on January 7, in the 6400 block of S.
