
Early Sunday, a residential fire in Humboldt Park, Chicago, left a 59-year-old man with severe burn injuries and three others without a home. The blaze was reported shortly after midnight in the 800 block of North St. Louis Avenue, as stated Chicago Sun-Times. Firefighters from the Chicago Fire Department, alongside Chicago police, responded to the emergency call, arriving at the scene around 12:47 a.m. to battle the flames and aid the victims.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was rescued from the fire and subsequently taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, exhibiting burns to his body, reports indicate WLS-TV. Three other individuals have been displaced due to the fire, which tore through their residence, leaving them in an unfortunate scramble for shelter and solace amidst the rubble of what was once their sanctuary.
