A teenage boy, just shy of adulthood, has been swept up in the long arm of the law, facing serious allegations of aggravated vehicular hijacking. Authorities reported the 17-year-old male juvenile has been slapped with two counts of felony vehicular hijacking after brandishing a firearm during the theft of a vehicle late last month.

The incident, which took a turn into the menacing, occurred in the South Side of Chicago on March 30, 2024. It was there, in the palpable unease of the 7300 block of S. Champlain, that two unsuspecting females—a 15-year-old girl and a 37-year-old woman—were confronted and forced to relinquish their vehicle at gunpoint, a harrowing narrative provided by the Chicago Police Department delineates.

This accused juvenile was apprehended on April 25th, on S. Hamilton's 1100 block, and identified as one of the said offenders.
