Actor Chance Perdomo, known for his roles on Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and the forthcoming Amazon Prime series "Gen V," died in a motorcycle crash at the young age of 27, KOIN reports. The fatal accident occurred under circumstances that have yet to be disclosed in detail by authorities or his representation.
A representative for Perdomo, articulating the grief of both his family and professional team, stated, “On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” in a statement released on Saturday evening. The statement further clarified that no one else was involved in a crash, but refrained from providing specific details about the incident's time or location.
In “Gen V,” an anticipated spin-off of the popular series “The Boys,” Perdomo took on the role of Andre Anderson, a student at the fictitious Godolkin University, empowered with metal manipulation abilities. This latest character added to Perdomo's already impressive portfolio of parts which included a notable spell as Ambrose Spellman—a pansexual warlock on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” a series that concluded its run in 2020.
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, producing partners on “Gen V," expressed their heartbreak over the actor's sudden demise. "We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person," the producers lamented, as noted by KOIN.
Patrick Schwarzenegger, co-star of the Gen V show, took to Instagram to eulogize his colleague and friend sharing candid shots of the two together, with the hope that Perdomo was "up in heaven with a cigar," according to KTLA. The immediate impact of Perdomo's death on the production of "Gen V" remains uncertain at this time.
