A Colorado man was left critically injured after his vehicle careened off a Minnesota road and rolled into a ditch last Friday evening, local authorities have confirmed. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office indicated that Robert Theis, a 50-year-old from Golden, CO, was airlifted to a hospital following the solo crash on a rural stretch.
In an incident that abruptly shattered the calm of the country road, Theis was westbound on Quest Road around 7:11 pm when his vehicle failed to correctly navigate a turn at the intersection of 360th Avenue. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office detailed how Theis's vehicle, to tragically uphold its inertia, veered off the road and entered a ditch before rolling over, near Harding, MN. Theis was subsequently transported to St. Cloud Hospital with severe injuries, reported the sheriff's office in a statement.
The severity of Theis's injuries necessitated the deployment of North Air Care, which flew him to the medical facility as emergency responders conducted rescue operations at the scene. The incident drew a concerted response from multiple agencies, including not only the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office but also the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, Pierz Fire Department, Hillman Area Response Team, Sullivan Lake First Response Team, and Onamia Ambulance.
