A Coweta County church minister finds himself on the wrong side of the pulpit—and the law—after being booked on child pornography charges. James Morgan Gravley, 38, was nabbed by the Coweta County Internet Crimes Against Children unit, with deputies tracing an internet address linked to the downloading of suspected child sexual abuse material back to Gravley, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.

Gravley, who listed his employer as an Newnan church, was apprehended at the sheriff's office and subsequently charged. While his connection to the church was not part of their investigation, authorities stated no children were thought to be in danger. Married with three kids, Gravley was listed as a minister to families on the church's website, but now he’s facing a different kind of congregation—behind bars with a $12,000 bond.

In an unrelated incident of familial violence, Brookhaven police arrested a man following a SWAT standoff that ensued after he allegedly attacked his sister and hurled threats at responding officers.

The situation escalated quickly on Clairmont Road where a "hysterical woman" reported an assault by her brother. According to WSB-TV, the suspect, 21-year-old Irvin Ramirez, was armed, had barricaded himself in the apartment, and made threats to shoot any officer in sight. After a tense encounter, the SWAT team's negotiators managed to coax Ramirez into a peaceful surrender.

Ramirez now faces charges including Battery (FVA), Criminal Damage to Property, False Imprisonment, Obstructing 911, and Terroristic Threats—a list as varied as it is serious. The suspect is currently being held as the complexities of both his and Gravley’s cases continue to ravage through the communities they once served.
