Responders from Austin-Travis County EMS worked the scene, necessitating the closure of the southbound lanes to attend to the emergency.
Following the collision, the pedestrian was rushed to St. David's South Austin Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, the gravity of which stamped an urgent stamp on the late-night traffic snarl.
