Scheduled for April 10-12, more than 800 participants are expected to attend, showcasing the city's dedication to creating welcoming spaces for all residents, according to the City of Dallas.
Not just a talking shop, this conference is marked by star power, with former Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings and basketball legend Dirk Nowitzki slated to provide their insights. Both have lent their voices to advocate for the immigrant community, acknowledging the impact of diversity on the city’s cultural and economic vitality. In what promises to be a thought-provoking gathering, the conference will spotlight immigrant inclusion success stories, and, delve into racial equity dialogues.
Leading the charge are several key figures from the realms of governance and advocacy, including Liz Cedillo-Pereira, the City of Dallas Assistant City Manager, and Christina da Silva from the WCIA office. Rachel Perić, the Executive Director of Welcoming America, alongside communications and external affairs officers from her team, will add to the conversations planned for the Hyatt Regency Dallas venue.
