The weather in Dallas is setting up a mostly sunny spectacle for today, with the National Weather Service forecasting a comfortable high of 67 degrees. The north-northeast winds might get a bit brisk, blowing at speeds of 5 to 15 mph, while gusts could reach 20 mph.

As the sun takes a bow, tonight's skyline is expected to remain mostly clear with the mercury dropping down to a cooler 47 degrees. The north wind will take it easy, dialing back to a light 5 to 10 mph before it tips its hat goodnight, becoming light north-northwest as evening unfolds.

Monday promises to keep the good vibes rolling with plentiful sunshine and a high climbing to a friendly 73 degrees. The winds will show their fickle nature, shifting from light and variable in the morning to a determined south breeze at 5 to 10 mph come afternoon.

Monday's night sky will mostly be free of clouds, with residents getting a dark canvas dotted with stars as the nighttime temperature hovers around 56 degrees. However, the south wind isn't taking any breaks and will continue breezing through at around 10 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will heat things as the thermometer is expected to hit a high near 79 with the south wind again picking up pace. Blowing around 15 mph, it will carry gusts that could top out at 25 mph.

As the week progresses, Dallasites can expect a mixture of sun and clouds with Wednesday's temperature mirroring Tuesday's high of 79 degrees. The wind, however, is not one for routine, shaving a few mph off its speed to a light 5 to 10 mph, accompanied by potential gusts of up to 20 mph.

While the week continues its warm streak, Thursday's forecast signals a shift. The day is still expected to be mostly cloudy as temperatures inch higher near 80 degrees, while the south wind could push a little harder reaching gusts as high as 30 mph.

A wrinkle in the weather is expected later, with Thursday night introducing a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms post-8 pm. Moving across the arc of the week, those chances will heighten to 50 percent on Friday, accompanied by mostly cloudy skies and temperatures that could hit lows around 71 and highs soaring to 82 degrees.

By Saturday, Dallas residents might find themselves in a dance with intermittent showers and thunderstorms, the chance of precipitation pegged at 30 percent. The city's symphony of weather patterns will continue, mainly cloudy, with the high approaching a warm 84 degrees.
