A construction site in Hollywood Hills West was surprised Tuesday evening by an unexpected guest - a small but pesky debris flow. The Fire Department reported to the scene at 8353 W Sunset View Drive around 7:40 PM, following a call about the issue, according to LAFD.
Crews arrived to find remnants of the hillside scattered across the future foundations of what yet may stand there. Dodging injury, the workers present at the time of the slide were lucky, there were no injuries from the debris flow, as per the LAFD. The incident, while minor, caused a stir amongst the residents and a necessary pause in the day's construction endeavors.
In the wake of the dirt and rock tumble, LAFD swiftly took action to stabilize the scene. "Thankfully, there were no reported injuries and the situation is static at this time," the LAFD statement detailed, as noted in a public alert on their website.
