Detroit police are seeking the public's help in locating Madyson Smith, a 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing since Monday. Authorities say she left her home in the 16500 block of Sunderland Road without permission and hasn't been seen since. The search for Madyson has involved multiple units and community outreach in an effort to bring her home safely.
The teen was last spotted donning a sweatshirt and black leggings. She is described as being approximately 5'6" tall, with brown hair styled in a bun, and brown eyes. Her weight was listed at 160 pounds. The search has taken on an urgency as family and law enforcement look for any information that might lead to the recovery of the missing youth.
In a plea for assistance, the Detroit Police Department's 8th Precinct has urged anyone with knowledge about Madyson's whereabouts to come forward. "Please help us find missing Madyson Smith. If you have any information, please call Detroit's 8th Precinct at (313) 596-5840 or 911" the department posted on its Facebook page.
