A fatal collision between a tow truck and a passenger vehicle in Dearborn Heights has resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to two men, local authorities reported. The accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m., yesterday, at the intersection of Van Born and Gulley roads, according to The Detroit News.
Responding officers discovered the wreckage where the tow truck, headed west on Van Born, collided with the vehicle turning from eastbound Van Born onto northbound Gulley. Medics quickly transported the truck's driver, a 31-year-old Detroit man with undisclosed injuries, and the vehicle's occupants, to a nearby hospital, as reported by Patch. The woman, aged 27, from Ohio, later died from her sustained injuries, while the other Ohioan, a 24-year-old man sustained only minor injuries.
Details on how the crash happened are still emerging, however, preliminary investigations suggest the tow truck was traveling west on Van Born near Gulley when the accident occurred with the vehicle making the turn.
