Hip-hop titan Eminem is on the hunt for his most hardcore fans, known as "Stans," to take part in a freshly minted documentary about their intense devotion. The Detroit rapper took to social media on Wednesday to rally his followers for the film project, produced by his company Shady Films. "Looking for Stans for a documentary produced by Eminem & Shady Films," The Detroit News cited Eminem's post.

In a move that left fans buzzing with excitement, Eminem’s quest for the ultimate Stan includes filling out a comprehensive questionnaire, designed to gauge the depth of their passion for the artist. Addressing the superfans, the form probes them on their first encounter with Eminem's music, the presence of Eminem-related memorabilia in their collections, and their top picks among his tracks. As detailed by XXL Magazine, the completion of the questionnaire culminates with applicants submitting a one-minute video of themselves explaining their "Standom."

Directed by Steven Leckart, the documentary, which has been promising to lay bare super fandom's raw edge, was announced earlier this February. While there's no confirmed release date, it's set to drop later this year. The content is described as a "revealing, edgy, and disarmingly personal journey into the world of super fandom," promised to present an unfiltered look at Eminem's influence and the fervent followers he’s amassed, as featured by XXL Magazine.

Released over two decades ago, Eminem's resonant track "Stan," featuring British songstress Dido, has not only been streamed over a billion times on Spotify but also infused itself into our cultural lexicon. Eminem's manager, Paul Rosenberg, was quoted by HipHopDX saying, "This is a study of the relationship between fanbase and artist through the lens of one of Eminem’s most fascinating songs and one of the world’s most important entertainers."

Amidst all the anticipation for the documentary, fans got punked this April Fools’ Day when Eminem hinted at a new album. The Instagram teaser turned out to be a throwback celebration of his early LP, "Infinite." Adding to his playful repartee with the fans, the rap legend’s post promised "even more Infinite," stirring both nostalgia and excitement within his diverse fanbase.
