Firefighting teams from the North County Fire Protection District had their hands full with a truck blaze in Fallbrook this morning. Crews hurried to the 1300 block of De Luz Drive after a vehicle fire was reported at 10:13 am. A pick-up truck pulling a forklift-laden trailer was found engulfed in flames upon their arrival.
The emergency response was swift, with firefighters reaching the fiery scene in seven minutes. Despite the potential disaster, they successfully restricted the blaze to the truck itself, preventing any spread to surrounding areas or the equipment in tow. According to a statement on North County Fire's Facebook page, "crews were able to keep the fire contained to the vehicle."
The incident, which could have easily escalated, was mitigated without civilians or firefighters suffering injuries.
