Harris County Man Arrested for Stealing Scented Candles from Bath and Body WorksSource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

A man was nabbed by Harris County constables for shoplifting a hoard of scented candles from multiple Bath and Body Works stores. The theft suspect, identified as Darnell Campbell, was pulled over during a traffic stop by a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Office on April 18, in the 29300 block of the Northwest Freeway, according to officials.

During the stop, it became clear that Campbell was driving without a license or proof, of financial responsibility. A search of his vehicle unearthed a backpack stuffed with large candles, confirmed by authorities as merchandise recently lifted from several local Bath and Body Works locations spread across Harris and Montgomery counties.

A statement by  Constable Mark Herman said, "Darnell Campbell was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 14," signaling perhaps a small respite in what could be a larger narrative of petty crime and retail theft in the area.
