A routine traffic stop in Harris County took a significant turn when authorities discovered the driver had an outstanding felony warrant. On Thursday, April 4, according to an announcement by Constable Mark Herman's Office on Facebook, deputies pulled over a vehicle in the 5900 block of FM 2920 for an undisclosed traffic violation. The driver, identified as Damien Gallien, was found to have an open Felony Warrant for Theft.

Upon the discovery of the warrant, law enforcement did not hesitate to take Gallien into custody. "Damien Gallien was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant. His bond was set at $5,000.00 out of the 174th District Court," Constable Mark Herman stated. The arrest adds a twist to what might have otherwise been an uneventful traffic enforcement duty.

Herman's office has not released further details regarding the particulars of the theft for which Gallien was wanted.
