Harris County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Weapons Charges for Two MenSource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

Two men have found themselves behind bars following a routine traffic stop in Harris County that took an unexpected turn, leading to drug and weapons charges. Constable Mark Herman's deputies pulled over a vehicle on Louetta Road on April 27, and what they sniffed out landed the suspects in jail, according to the constable's office.

Occupants Cain Leal and Angel Alarcon were busted after deputies caught a whiff of illegal narcotics emanating from the vehicle, prompting a thorough search; the deputies uncovered 28 grams of cocaine packaged for sale, over an ounce of marijuana, a loaded handgun, and a stack of cash believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking, as recounted in a Facebook post by Constable Herman's office.

The Harris County Jail is now home to both Leal and Alarcon as they face serious charges following the revelation of their unlawful cargo, Leal has been slapped with a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the intent to Deliver, and his bond isn't something to scoff at - set at $25,000 by the 185th District Court.

Alarcon, while he didn't have the drugs on him; he was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon charge, unlike Leal's hefty bond, his is set at a mere $100 by County Court 13, this all according to the Constable's Facebook announcement.
