Chaos erupted on a Houston street earlier this week when a convicted felon was busted with a firearm during a heated spat, authorities said. The disturbance, which drew deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office to the scene on Templegate Drive, culminated in the arrest of Jared Herring on April 21.

When the constables arrived, they encountered Herring embroiled in a verbal altercation. An investigation quickly unfolded, revealing that Herring, had displayed a firearm in the midst of the dispute — a serious violation given his status as a felon. Constable Mark Herman detailed the sequence of events that led to Herring's capture.

“Jared Herring was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. His bond was set at $1,000.00 out of the 230th District Court.” a statement by Constable Mark Herman.
