A man has been cuffed and charged following a stabbing debacle in Houston, Texas, law enforcement officials said. The incident took place around 8:50 p.m. Thursday at the 9900 block of Long Point Road. Miguel Angel Alarcon Quezada, 50, got booked on aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury after he allegedly shanked another man, authorities reported. Despite his own facial injuries, the suspect was identified, arrested, and has since been charged, according to the City of Houston's official news site.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was swiftly taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition post-attack. Detective C. Brown of HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division noted that police zoomed to the scene following a distressing call about the cutting incident. The alleged attacker was discovered with the alleged weapon mere steps away from where the stabbing took place, stated the officials.

The suspect, Alarcon Quezada, sported injuries to his mouth and face at the time of his arrest, which were treated at the same hospital where the victim was taken. After patching him up, the suspect got carted off to jail, where he was formally slapped with charges related to his alleged involvement in the stabbing.
