Authorities have arrested a man found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle, right in the stream of moving traffic on a Houston parkway, law enforcement officials confirmed. The unfortunate driver, identified as Bobbie Marshal, was discovered unconscious by deputies of Constable Mark Herman's Office on the evening of April 19, according to a Facebook statement released by the precinct. The deputies were responding to a call about a male passed out in his car in the 2000 block of N Sam Houston Parkway W. When the officers managed to rouse Marshal, they noticed he was showing clear signs of inebriation.
What followed was a textbook field sobriety assessment which, the constable's office reported, Marshal failed. His blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.180, a count that soars over the state's legal limit by twice the amount, Herman's deputies stated. Charged with Driving While Intoxicated, the suspect was then processed and thrown behind bars at the Harris County Jail. According to Constable Mark Herman, Marshal's bind was set at a nominal $100.00 by County Court 13.
