Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office swooped into a Lowe's store situation on the North Freeway, pinching a man for alleged shoplifting on April 16, after he reportedly tried to sneak out with goods he didn't pay for. The incident took place in the 20100 block, where authorities were tipped off to a suspect tucking away merchandise worth a shade over $248 and slipping past cashiers, attempting to exit sans receipt.
The suspect, identified as Rickey White, couldn't finagle his way out this time, as constable deputies caught up with him, retrieving the items and ensuring they made their way back to the rightful shelves of the Lowe's from whence they came, according to the official Precinct 4 Facebook post. The alleged theft, a seemingly small-time caper, however, lands White behind bars as he faces charges for his not-so-slick heist attempt.
Authorities have since clapped the cuffs on White and marched him over to the Harris County Jail; there, he's been processed and ponder his next move with a bond set at a mere $100. "Rickey White was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft," Constable Mark Herman detailed.
