Chaos erupted on the streets of Chicago as 22-year-old Kentrell Howard was arrested for the alleged robbery of a 31-year-old woman, police said. Caught by officers of the Chicago Police Department on April 8, 2024, after he reportedly snatched property from the unsuspecting victim, Howard now faces a felony robbery charge. The incident occurred on the 800 block of N. Larrabee St., and mere minutes later, Howard was apprehended on the 500 block of W. Grand Ave.
According to details released by the Chicago Police Department's website, the detainee, who hails from the 7800 block of S. Racine Ave., has been identified as the prime suspect in the robbery case that has since, sent ripples through the local community, the details of which sent shockwaves reverberating through a city already grappling with a notorious reputation for street crime. The statement provided by the police department noted that following the crime, "the offender was placed into custody and charged accordingly."
