A heartbreaking scene unfolded on a Kerrville driveway last Saturday afternoon when a two-year-old child was tragically killed after being struck by a car. According to FOX San Antonio, around 2:30 p.m., emergency services rushed to a residence on Pearl Street near Paschal Ave, to find the young child mortally wounded from the impact of the vehicle.

Officers later found that while reversing, the driver apparently did not see the two-year-old who had fatally dashed behind the car. The child was promptly attended by first responders and transported to Peterson Regional Medical, but despite the best efforts of medical staff, the child's injuries were too severe.

No charges have been filed as of now, while the Kerrville Police continues its investigation into what they currently believe to be a tragic accident. KENS 5 reported that the Kerrville Police Department, through Chief Chris McCall, expressed deep condolences to the family, stating, "The Kerrville Police Department extends our sympathies to the loved ones of this child as they deal with this unimaginable loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them."

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials urge anyone with additional information to come forward as they work to piece together the circumstances that led to this devastating event. Updates will be provided as new details emerge about the case.
