A 16-year-old male who is not a student at Fulton High School has been charged after making a threat against a student due to a personal conflict, prompting a temporary lockdown of the Knoxville school. According to the WATE, the incident unfolded Tuesday morning when the suspect reportedly called the high school and communicated his intention to harm a student.

Officers from the Knoxville Police Department, including School Resource Officers, responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m., quickly detaining the teenager in the proximity of the Fulton campus on Saint Mary Street. The suspect was found with two knives at the time of his arrest. He was charged with aggravated criminal trespass, harassment, and carrying weapons on school property, as initially reported by WBIR.

There were no reported injuries resulting from the incident, and the lockdown was lifted upon the teen's detention. The school resumed its regular schedule shortly after ensuring the safety of its students and faculty. As per WVLT, a communication manager for KPD specified that although the suspect was initially believed to be enrolled at Fulton, it was later confirmed that this was not the case.
