The Westside's beloved bagel vendor is about to sprinkle its doughy magic in a more permanent spot. Daniel's Bagels, a staple at several Los Angeles farmers' markets, is gearing up to debut their first brick-and-mortar shop in Palms. The much-anticipated storefront will throw open its doors in the former C&M Cafe location at 10640 Woodbine St., with plans to start serving up chewy goodness around May or June, owner Daniel Messinger revealed to What Now Los Angeles.
Starting out as a pandemic pivot delivery service, Daniel's Bagels quickly became a westside sensation that made waking up on a Sunday worthwhile. "We started as a delivery business during the pandemic, and over the past two years, our bagels have become a favorite for customers at our farmers' markets throughout the westside," Messinger said, as reported by What Now Los Angeles. Loyal followings from the Playa Vista, Brentwood, and Mar Vista markets will soon be able to frequent a dedicated shop, proving that dedication to craft and a pinch of entrepreneurial spirit can rise like well-proofed yeast in challenging times.
Popular for their high-quality ingredients, Daniel's Bagels differentiates itself in an ocean of wheat by omitting additives or preservatives. Each bagel is hand-rolled, boiled, and then baked in a bid to achieve that elusive balance of crispy crust and soft, chewy interior. Patrons can look forward to savoring a vast variety of classic flavors, including everything, onion, sesame, rosemary, cinnamon raisin, and even a sweet treat like chocolate chip, following Messinger's devotion to bagel diversity he shared with What Now Los Angeles.
Eager bagel enthusiasts received the news first-hand when Daniel's Bagels broke the schmear, announcing on their Instagram page: "We are so excited to announce that the very first Daniel’s Bagels brick & mortar location is coming soon to West LA 🔑🥯." With assurances of more details to follow, the brand urged followers to tag their friends who knead their carb fix and promised updates via the 'gram, which was grabbed by adoring fans who saw it shared on danielsbagels Instagram post.
"We’re super excited to be opening our first brick and mortar location so we can continue sharing our bagels with even more people!" added Messinger, as per What Now Los Angeles.
