Los Angeles residents can expect a myriad of sunny days and potential showers in the coming week, according to the most recent forecasts. Today in LA, clear skies dominate with temperatures hovering around a comfortable 74 degrees, but as the sun sets, a mild dip to 53 degrees is anticipated with a gentle westerly wind shifting northeast after midnight. The city of Angels is set to experience more of the golden state warmth on Wednesday with a high of 76 degrees, albeit accompanied by possible wind gusts as high as 15 mph.

Tonight's sky will remain mostly barren of clouds setting the stage for another day bathed in sunlight, the northeast winds of the morning once again making way for a southwest breeze as the day progresses, while Thursday brings a change with patchy morning fog and an overcast afternoon; the mercury set to fall to a cooler 62 degrees, forecasts posted by the National Weather Service state. Thursday night the odds for rainfall begin to rise, a 30 percent chance of showers after the witching hour when once-starry skies trend toward overcast.

As the workweek caps off on Friday, the temperamental Los Angeles weather could bring showers and perhaps an occasional thunderclap post 11:00 am, with the likelihood of precipitation holding at 30 percent and daytime highs dipping further to 56 degrees. Nightfall does little to ward off the rain clouds, which may persist into the early night hours with temperatures dropping to a low around 42 degrees, according to the official weather report.

The weekend, however, is forecast to bring reprieve with Saturday skies clearing up and the sun beaming down as Los Angelenos see a high of 63 degrees, giving way to a mostly clear evening with a low around 45 degrees. Come Sunday the city looks to relish in mostly sunlit conditions with highs reaching 65 degrees followed by increase of clouds once night settles and by Monday the pattern holds resemblance.
