Los Angeles, you better brace for plenty of sun followed by a weekend shower tease. The City of Angels is expected to bask in sunny skies with temperatures floating around the 80-degree mark this week, according to the National Weather Service. Today will see highs near a comfortable 80 degrees with light winds shifting from north-northwest to south-southeast throughout the morning.
Tonight, residents can expect clear skies and a low of 56, while the southwest wind takes a turn to east-northeast after midnight, but the trend of sunny days is set to continue Wednesday and Thursday with the mercury touching 81 and 80, respectively. However, despite the consistent sunshine during the week, the weekend could bring a slight chance of showers dampening the city come Saturday, there's a forecast for some rain likely disturbing the otherwise partly sunny skies and a high of 67 degrees.
Los Angeles nightlife seekers on Thursday night will enjoy mostly clear skies and a steady temperature around 56, perfect for those late outings, meanwhile, Friday will tone down the thermostat to a high near 73. But it’s the weekend that might break the ideal streak, according to the NWS, Saturday night could see a chance of showers before 11 pm then leading to a slight chance of rain after.
Planning, Sunday will continue with the possibility of showers amidst partly sunny conditions and highs capping at 67, while night crawlers should keep an umbrella handy with more chances of showers and the lows dipping to around 50. The silver lining comes at the start of the new work week when Monday forecasts a return to full sunshine and the temperatures creeping back up to a high near 70, getting the city back on its familiar sunlit path, NWS details.
