Marietta PAL's Summer Camp Offers Mix of Academics, Sports, and Fun for Kids with Enrollment OpenSource: Marietta official website

Parents looking to keep their kids engaged and active this summer can now sign up for the Marietta Police Athletic League's (PAL) all-encompassing Summer Camp. Catering to rising first through 12th graders, the program promises a blend of academics, STEM education, and a healthy dose of sports and recreation. The camp, set to run from June 3 to July 12, also offers life skills workshops, arts, career exploration, and field trips – not to mention breakfast, lunch and snacks.

The action-packed camp will operate Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm, although it will be closed on Juneteenth and the 4th of July holidays. Weekly rates start at $120 for one child, with discounts applied when enrolling multiple children. For early risers, an additional fee ensures an early drop-off service is available starting from 7:30am. Marietta PAL announced that spots are filling fast, with registrations open until May 10th on a first come first served basis. The PAL Summer Camp will be hosted at the Hugh L. Grogan Jr Community Center in Marietta, GA.

In an effort to accommodate more families, Marietta PAL has introduced a new Daily Drop-In service for children aged 6 to 10 years. Offered on weekdays from June 3 to July 5, the service provides flexibility with both regular and extended day options. Fees range from a $30 regular rate to a $45 extended day rate, with additional charges for field trips and a required summer camp t-shirt. Parents interested in this service are advised to register as soon as possible to secure their child's spot.

According to the information posted on Marietta's official website, "The camp aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can not only have fun, but also grow intellectually and socially." Interested parties can register for the Summer Camp or the Daily Drop-In service by visiting their respective links on Eventbrite. It's worth noting there is a non-refundable $25 registration fee per child to hold your spot.
