The Metropolitan Police Department is on the hunt for a black SUV connected to a recent armed robbery in Northeast Washington, D.C. The department is requesting assistance from locals to track down the vehicle involved in the incident.
According to the police report, the robbery occurred early Wednesday morning, around 12:35 a.m. as the victim was cycling home. The suspect vehicle, described only as a black SUV, approached the victim on the 300 block of E Street, where, the passenger got out and demanded the victim's belongings at gunpoint, the driver brandished a firearm, adding a layer of intimidation. The victim, with no choice, complied with the demands before the suspects fled with their haul.
The detectives from the First District Detectives Unit are taking the lead on this case and have yet to release descriptions of the suspects. They urge anyone with information about the vehicle or the robbery to come forward. Any detail could be crucial for the investigation and the safety of the community.
