Montgomery County Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Child, Sting Operation Reveals More Potential VictimsSource: Facebook/Constable Ryan Gable, Pct. 3 Constable, Montgomery County, TX

A Montgomery County man stands accused of sexual assault against a child, with the arrest stemming from a sting operation where detectives posed as the victim online. David Roberto Gonzalez was taken into custody on Thursday and charged, as reported by Click2Houston, with spending time at a local park in The Woodlands where he allegedly conducted the illicit exchanges.

In a series of repeated offenses, officers allege that Gonzalez met with a juvenile to perform sexual acts for money. Investigators went online, taking on the guise of the juvenile, and managed to arrange a meeting with Gonzalez that led to his arrest, according to a statement obtained by Click2Houston. While engaging in this sting operation, they claim Gonzalez also tried to solicit sexual acts from other juveniles and the undercover detectives.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Gonzalez's residence where they discovered materials classified as child pornography on his electronic devices. As a result, a bond has been set at $150,000 with additional charges related to possession of these materials still pending. This information was corroborated by both Click2Houston and FOX26.

The case, however, might extend beyond the single known victim. Officers from the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable's Office believes that there are more juveniles Gonzalez may have encountered, as reported by FOX26. These potential victims have not yet been identified. The Precinct's Criminal Investigation Division encourages anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact them at (281)364-4211.
