A late-night spill sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with minor injuries after he lost control of his bike and crashed into a curb on the city’s North Side, according to police reports. The San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene near the Costco on Loop 1604 and Sigma Road at approximately 11:37 p.m. Tuesday, authorities confirmed.

The rider, a man in his 30s, was found at the site of the accident. He appeared to have managed to only sustain minor wounds as a result of the crash, which involved no other vehicles, KENS 5 reported. Emergency services quickly transported him to University Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

Police say the motorcyclist told them he had crashed his bike into the curb. The precise cause of the accident remains unclear as the investigation continues. Luckily, no other injuries were reported in the incident, and there was no involvement from any other vehicles, FOX San Antonio shared. The condition of the man has not been disclosed as of yet.

The SAPD has yet to release further details surrounding the dynamics of the crash. The man's motorcycle was towed from the site, and traffic was reportedly unaffected by the incident.
