Prince's Hot Chicken, the Nashville-born institution credited with inventing the fiery Southern specialty nearly a century ago, is now serving its spicy fares to travelers at Nashville International Airport. This latest outpost, tucked in the space between the airport's Concourse C/D, is primed to satisfy the cravings of the fly-in, fly-out crowd.

First-timers looking for authentic Nashville flavors don't have to wander far from their gates. Greg Puzon, a California-bound traveler who chanced upon Prince's on its opening day Tuesday, was one of the lucky ones. "One of my cousins said Prince's is where it's at," Puzon told the Tennessean. "I'm excited."

Prince's, which closed its original North Nashville spot back in 2019, has been expanding its fiery footprint with branches across South Nashville, Antioch, Assembly Food Hall, GEODIS Park, Knoxville, and even out of state in South Carolina. The latest venture into BNA, as reported by WZTV, suggests that the heat isn’t going out on this culinary tradition anytime soon.

Nashville International Airport itself is experiencing a transformation of tastes, rolling out the welcome mat to a diverse batch of eateries. After closing nearly all businesses in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, BNA is bustling once more with around 50 restaurants, bars, and coffee shops peppering the passenger experience. Joining Prince's in this airport revival is Half Moon Empanadas, a Miami-based slot that dishes out Argentinian pies from scratch. Nestled in Concourse B near gate B-9, the establishment aims to deliver “authentic comfort food and flavors to passengers in a convenient, fast and healthy way,” WSMV noted, introducing a Southern Hemisphere sizzle to BNA's food scene.

Jimmy John's sandwiches and the TexMex eatery TX/MX have also set up shop in the satellite concourse catering mostly to passengers flying with budget airlines such as Spirit and Allegiant. Bongo Java coffee shop spills the beans on a more caffeinated venture for those needing a pre-flight pick-me-up, lending variety to the newly vibrant culinary corridor of Tennessee's busiest airport.
