Fast-expanding budget airline Avelo is launching a new nonstop service that's sure to grab the attention of cost-conscious travelers looking to shuttle between the glitz of Las Vegas and the charm of Burbank. Starting May 3, the carrier kicks off its service from Hollywood Burbank Airport to Harry Reid International Airport, making it the 14th destination reachable from the Southern California hub.

According to KTLA, Avelo Airlines is looking to quickly build upon its success, offering flights between the two cities on Fridays and Sundays with promotional one-way tickets beginning at $57— a price inclusive of all taxes and fees. This deal is a time-sensitive offer though, with bookings required by April 10 for travel wrapping up by July 31, aboard their Boeing Next Generation 737.

Andrew Levy, Avelo's founder and CEO, expressed excitement about the new route, mentioning, "We were very encouraged by the strong Customer response we received when we offered special flights between BUR and LAS for football’s big game in February," in a statement obtained by Daily News. This enthusiasm echoes the company's broader strategy to edge competitively by making strategic expansions from their primarily West Coast operations.

Frank Miller, the executive director of Hollywood Burbank Airport, highlighted the ease of use for passengers flying out of Burbank to Las Vegas, and said, "We are pleased that Avelo Airlines is making it even more convenient for travelers to do so," as 8 News Now reported. Notably, Avelo touts a suite of customer-friendly policies like no-fee changes and optional service add-ons that could well position them as a go-to choice for those seeking both affordability and flexibility in their travel arrangements.

Since its launch in April 2021, Avelo has significantly expanded its network, now reporting to have flown over 1.1 million customers. With a burgeoning list of destinations that encompass parts of California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and beyond, the airline shows no sign of slowing down as it steadily takes to the sky, making good on its promise to connect more cities with budget-friendly fares.
