According to the City of Frisco, a fresh stretch of Fields Parkway is now open, connecting Teel Parkway to Legacy Drive and extending a direct route to the southbound lanes of the Dallas Parkway frontage road. For those who've been navigating construction mayhem, this is your sign that smoother driving lies ahead.
As of April 3, motorists will have a brand new roundabout to contend with—or glide through—if you've got the hang of these European imports. It sits neatly at the intersection of Teel Parkway and Fields Parkway, ready to enable drivers to, nearly seamlessly, turn off Teel and onto Fields—or continue merrily around in circles if they so choose. The City of Frisco has released a map to help drivers navigate the new addition. Sure, roundabouts can be confusing but think of all the stoplight-avoiding joy they bring!
This roundabout is not where the story ends, though. The city has a heads-up for drivers: "Drivers on Teel Pkwy. can now use the roundabout to turn onto Fields Pkwy. and they should be prepared to yield to traffic that can now enter the roundabout from Fields Pkwy.," The City of Frisco stated. And don't forget, the western leg of Roundabout Central will stay closed while Fields Parkway west of Teel Parkway is under the knife. Progress has its price.
With the completion of this project, it's clear that Frisco is not only expanding but also upping its ante in the infrastructure game.
