An Oklahoma man has been nabbed in Macon after he allegedly shot two other men at a Motel 6, confirmed the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. The incident, which created a scene swarmed by law enforcement this past Friday, occurred just off the bustling Interstate 75 vicinity.

Cody Aaron Stephenson, the 32-year-old suspect from Oklahoma, was arrested after deputies were called to the Motel 6 at 105 Riverside Parkway. According to FOX5 Atlanta, Stephenson had a confrontation with the men that escalated, leading him to allegedly shoot through the motel room's door and window.

Two victims, aged between 25 and 40, were rushed to the Atrium Health Navicent, where they are expected to recover from their injuries. 13WMAZ reports that another individual was also affected, suffering a panic attack due to the shooting.

This disturbance required a hefty police presence, where the hotel, located behind a Hooters, was teeming with investigators. Deputies focused much of their attention on room 307, where detectives were spotted taking photos and collecting evidence. As of last reports, Stephenson is being held without bond on one count of reckless conduct and two counts of aggravated assault.

While the investigation continues, the sheriff's office is calling on the public for help. Anyone with information related to the shooting is encouraged to reach out to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office or call the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers.
