Gunfire in Houston has left one man dead and another critically injured after suspects unleashed a deadly attack outside a local convenience store, authorities say. According to the City of Houston's news release, the Houston Police Department has released surveillance images of three men, described only as adult Hispanic males dressed in white, who are now wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. yesterday at 2490 South Wayside Drive.
The violence unfolded rapidly, resulting in the death of a 34-year-old man whose identity has yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, the wounded man, 29, was rushed to an area hospital and remains in critical condition. Investigators have determined the victims had just left the store and entered a black SUV when a silver Dodge Charger and a silver Mercedes Benz rolled up two males got out of the Dodge, one from the Mercedes, and suddenly the night air was pierced by a hail of bullets directed at the SUV before the assailants fled.

HPD patrol officers and Harris County's Precinct 6 deputy constables were the first responders to the scene where they discovered the aftermath. The Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the victims to the hospital.
