GARDEN GROVE, Calif.—The County of Orange and First District Supervisor Andrew Do announced the hosting of a Career Fair for locals on the hunt for new employment and businesses seeking fresh talent. Scheduled for May 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event is to take place at the Garden Grove Community Center and promises a range of opportunities for attendees, falling everything under the professional sun, from tech to service gigs.
Supervisor Do, a proponent of the job fair, said, "Career Fairs open the door to many opportunities for both businesses and job seekers," according to the Orange County government website. Admission to the fair is free, as are registration and parking, yet, the potential for participants to walk away with tangible job offers is substantial.
Those looking for work are encouraged to come prepared with resumes in hand and dressed in professional attire. During the event, they will have the chance to meet face-to-face with a diverse array of employers, interview for positions, and potentially secure employment on the spot. For those eager to make a good first impression, Orange County Workforce Solutions Centers are also offering complimentary workshops on resume writing and interview techniques, available both online and in person.
For anyone interested in getting a jump on the competition, registration details and additional event information can be found on the Orange County government's official site at ocgov.com/press. Businesses that will be in attendance span a spectrum, from corporate heavyweights to service industry players, and they're all in the market for the right candidates.
