Philadelphia's Wokworks to Spice Up Margate, New Jersey, with New Beachside LocationSource: Google Street View

Philly's popular stir-fry spot, Wokworks, is heading to Margate, New Jersey, bringing its fast and fresh Asian fusion to a beach resort town. The restaurant, known for its customizable bowls and Asian-inspired dishes, is expected to open its doors in June 2024. Located at 7801 Ventnor Ave., Wokworks takes over what once was Greens and Grains, setting themselves up for a sizzling summer debut.

"After years of searching, we've finally found the perfect spot for Wokworks in Margate, a place close to our hearts as locals who grew up frequenting its beaches and cherishing memories with friends and family," Brennan Foxman said in a statement obtained by The Press of Atlantic City. The new venue will offer ample outdoor seating to happily accommodate 40 to 50 guests, perfect for beachgoers looking to grab a quick and healthy bite.

Patrons can expect to indulge in Wokworks' signature dishes such as chili garlic chicken, dry pepper steak, and tiger fried rice, while also getting a chance to sample new items. Highlights include dry pepper Korean fried wings, peach yuzu slushies, and a locally sourced Single Origin soft-serve ice cream, as NBC Philadelphia reports. Wokworks will operate seven days a week, with late-night service on weekends, aligning with the town's bustling evening scene.

The Foxman duo, Brennan and Samantha, bring their childhood memories to the table with a commitment to locally sourced produce. "Throughout the season, we are committed to sourcing 100 percent of our produce and vegetables locally from farms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, ensuring the freshest and highest quality ingredients," Brennan Foxman told Daily Voice. Adding to the convenience, Wokworks Margate will feature a pickup window and promise to deliver everything from Atlantic City to Ocean City and across the Margate toll bridge on the mainland.

Since its inception in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse neighborhood in 2013, Wokworks has rapidly expanded, now boasting eight locations across the City of Brotherly Love, which include restaurants, food trucks, and grocery store kiosks. This expansion represents the brand's ambition to serve up quick, flavorful meals that don't skimp on health, whether you're on the sands of Margate or the streets of Philadelphia.
