Phoenix is gearing up to become a hotspot for foodies and winos this April, with a calendar jam-packed with gastronomic galas and spirits celebrations.

For the entire month of April, local breakfast giant Over Easy is teaming up with Shamrock Farms and Hickman’s Family Farms for a charity drive involving their 13 Arizona spots, as reported by Phoenix New Times. They're raising dough for Phoenix Children’s and United Food Bank, promising to match every buck donated by patrons, with the bonus of a dozen eggs chucked in by the farms.

The Downtown Mesa bar scene is to soon get lively with the Mesa for All Bar Crawl on April 4. This event will not only highlight craft beers and specialty cocktails from over 10 bars but also serve to raise awareness for Autism Acceptance Month. Other boozy bashes include Scottsdale’s Whiskey Del Bac Tasting Dinner on the same day, and the return of the Uncorked: Arizona Wine Festival on April 6, which promises over 100 wines to taste alongside groovy tunes spun by a live DJ. A portion of Uncorked's proceeds will be helping the local pooches through The AZ Small Dog Rescue.

Music and munchies will make a perfect pair at Fried: French Fry and Music Festival, where attendees can dive into a variety of fries while dancing to tunes from local bands. The food truck fiesta known as Foodstock, set for April 13 at the Peoria Sports Complex, plans to pit vendors against each other in hopes of being crowned "Best Street Food Truck," as detailed by Phoenix New Times. Meanwhile, fans of the Final Fantasy game series may wish to hit 8-Bit Aleworks' ninth-anniversary shindig on the same day in Avondale, with plenty of themed beers and games.

Arizona's love for themed gatherings doesn't wane as the month rolls on, with the Arizona Tiki Oasis from April 25-28 at Hotel Valley Ho. The event is set to indulge attendees in the island life with craft cocktails and retro fashion, among other island-inspired attractions.

If April sounds packed, the past few months have seen their fair share of festivities too. The Southwest Cajun Fest brought the spirit of New Orleans to Chandler back in February, and the Arizona Aloha Festival in March celebrated all things Hawaiian in Tempe, says Phoenix New Times. Whether one prefers sipping on fine wines or downing strong brews, the earliness of Spring has played host to a plethora of events, satisfying every type of palate.
