A grim discovery in Portland's Hazelwood neighborhood this morning, as police investigate the suspicious death of an adult male found in a residence following a reported shooting.

The Portland Police Bureau, responding to a distress call early Wednesday, entered a home in the 9700 block of Northeast Everett Court, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The call, which came in at around 5:18 a.m., led the officers to a dead male, who has not been named pending family notification.

Homicide detectives have since descended on the scene to sift through evidence, in a bid to unravel the circumstances of the man's death. At present, the situation remains cloaked in uncertainty, with the investigators keeping a tight lid on their findings.
