A fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning saw a family's detached garage, converted into a workshop, go up in flames on the South Side of San Antonio, but thanks to the quick response of firefighters, their home was spared from significant damage. According to KENS5, crews were called to the 300 block of Ware Boulevard near Pleasanton Road around 1:45 a.m., where they found the three-car garage workshop engulfed in flames.

The San Antonio Fire Department showed up and handled the situation, putting out the fire quickly and successfully managing to prevent it from spreading to the adjacent home, but not before the garage was deemed a complete loss, the battalion chief relayed at the scene, there were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire, still shrouded in mystery, has begun being probed by investigators. KSAT reported that both the San Antonio Fire and Police Departments were at the call, though the cost of the damage has not been disclosed.

As made clear by officials, the fire did not reach the family's residence, thus the structural integrity of the house remained intact with only minimal damage; however, all that remained of the garage was charred debris and ash.
