Early this morning, a San Antonio homeowner took a stand against theft, shooting two men he caught trying to swipe roofing supplies from his property, as reported by the San Antonio Police Department. The incident took place around 5:13 a.m. in the 400 block of General Krueger Boulevard, triggering a swift response from local law enforcement and emergency services.

Following an alert from his security cameras, the 35-year-old homeowner spotted the pair lifting materials just outside his garage and immediately called for help, and according to KENS 5, when the men took off only to return later the homeowner confronted them resulting in shots fired, hitting one in the buttocks and the other in the leg.

The injured suspects, both in their 30s, were taken to University Hospital with stable conditions. The area, not far from Basse Road and Blanco Road north of downtown San Antonio, became an active scene as investigators began piecing together the morning's violent events. There is still no word on whether the homeowner will face charges for his actions; however, the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, according to authorities.
