During the harrowing ordeal, the 911 dispatcher was an involuntary witness to threats and cries for help, capturing Lindgren's voice as he accused her of contacting the police, with the victim pleading for him to release her before the line went dead. As KSAT details, law enforcement could track the woman's phone, leading them to her location and securing her safety at police headquarters.
Authorities found evidence of the crime after reviewing gas station surveillance footage, which portrayed Lindgren forcing the woman back into his car. Text messages sent to the victim also surfaced, carrying grim threats directed at her and her family, including a menacing note about having "something" for her mother. Lindgren, who has a history of run-ins with the law, is no stranger to the criminal justice system, having been on probation for evading arrest with a vehicle from a 2023 incident, per Bexar County Jail records.
