Chaos erupted on the streets of San Antonio as law enforcement officers chased down suspects in two separate incidents involving a stolen vehicle and a traffic violation. On Tuesday morning, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office detained two individuals after a high-speed pursuit began near the 9700 block of Marbach Road, following a refusal to stop for what deputies deemed a hazardous traffic violation, FOX San Antonio reports. The chase, which spanned from Marbach to Fredericksburg and IH-10, ended without any reported injuries, and the suspects have yet to be identified.
The afternoon unfolded with no less drama, as a silver car, confirmed to be stolen, lost control while taking a turn too quickly on Nacogdoches Road, it crashed into a white SUV causing quite the spectacle as the three men inside the silver car attempted to flee by foot after the collision, according to KENS 5. San Antonio police managed to apprehend two of the suspects, while the search for the third continues.
Despite the perilous nature of both such vehicular encounters, the San Antonio community can take some solace in knowing that diligent enforcement efforts have curbed further potential calamity, no bystanders were harmed and the swift action of the police departments has resulted in arrests that might otherwise have led down a road fraught with further infringement and jeopardy, indeed, such is the daily wager in the life our city's guardians.
