Seattle's Carkeek Park is hosting a series of engaging bird programs beginning April 11, inviting nature enthusiasts to explore the local wildlife during several planned nighttime hikes and walks. The first event, a "Night Hike, Beaver and Owl Prowl," is slated for Thursday from 7pm-9pm and aims to give participants an insight into the park's nocturnal creatures, as reported by the Seattle Parks and Recreation.

According to the Seattle Parks and Recreation's news release, the adventure doesn't stop there, as bird watchers can also join a guided "Bird Walk at Schmitz Preserve Park" on April 13. The two-hour walk, running from 4pm-6pm, is an perfect opportunity for bird lovers to witness the vibrant avian life that thrives in the tranquil setting of the preserve.

Continuing the theme, Camp Long is preparing for its own "Night Hike and Owl Prowl" on April 25 and again on May 23, both from 7pm-9pm. These events are tailored to offer a glimpse into the mysterious lives of owls, the park's elusive winged residents.

As spring progresses, the "Spring Migration Bird and Wildlife Walk" at Discovery Park on May 4 promises a chance to observe the flurry of migrating birds in one of the city's largest green spaces. Subsequent "Night Hike, Beaver, and Owl Prowls" at Carkeek Park are scheduled for May 9 and June 6, offering additional chances to join in on the fun. Discovery Park will also be hosting "The Birds and the Bees: Plants and Pollinators Nature Walk," on June 20, which will focus on the critical relationship between birds, plants, and pollinators.
