Seattle cops nabbed an 18-year-old man linked to a series of brutal rapes, authorities said Monday.
The suspect was cuffed on April 5 after a months-long manhunt, pinning him to two separate attacks on young women in the Seattle area. According to the Seattle Police Blotter, the perp was busted around 9 a.m. on the 3900 block of Montlake Boulevard, amid mounting evidence tying him to the heinous acts.
The first of the appalling assaults occurred in October 2023 in Capitol Hill, where the perp allegedly preyed on a 19-year-old woman. Then, in November, he reportedly struck again, assaulting a 22-year-old woman in the University District. Seattle detectives connected the dots, finding probable cause to slap the creep with charges for both the second-degree rape and third-degree rape.
The suspect, now cooling his heels in King County Jail, awaits trial for his alleged crimes. Meanwhile, the Seattle Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit is urging anyone with information on such assaults, to come forward. They've put out a call for victims and witnesses to help bring perps like this one to justice, information can be found on their website.
