Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is on the lookout for a new team to take the helm at the beloved Green Lake Pitch & Putt. The department has thrown open the doors for proposals to manage the scenic 6-acre course nestled in the heart of the Green Lake neighborhood.
Interested parties are being encouraged by SPR to swing their best pitch in a recently issued Request for Proposals (RFP), details of which were shared on the Seattle Parkways website yesterday; the RFP emphasizes the need for an operator who will not only maintain the green but also inject innovative programs and services geared towards the community while effectively marketing the facility.
The selected candidate will not only get to operate one of the city's most picturesque golfing spots but also leave a mark by shaping the recreational experiences offered to both Green Lake locals and the Seattle populace at large. Proposals are expected to tee off with a focus on enhancing golf operations and should also explore the possibility of launching new services or products that may add to the facility’s existing charm and challenge.
SPR has set a deadline for these proposals faster than a golf cart on a mission, giving green-thumbed entrepreneurs until the coming weeks to submit their best ideas for turning the Green Lake Pitch & Putt into a true hole-in-one for the community; an exact date wasn’t provided, but prospective candidates can find the full RFP and submission details on the Seattle Parkways post from April 2nd.
