The Plano Police Department has recently stepped up to promote Mrs. Sharon Jameson as the new Administrative Assistant Director, a move that is being heralded as a testament to her impressive track record. This advancement made public on April 8, 2024, comes after her 17-year tenure with the department, during which time she has shown considerable acumen in roles such as Police Budget Analyst and Police Fiscal Affairs Manager, according to the Plano Texas Police Department.
Jameson, who originally hails from Virginia and made Plano her home back in 1990, is bringing her finance degree from Virginia Tech to oversee important divisions within the department. Part of her new role will include the oversight of the Fiscal Affairs Division, where her experience will be crucial to properly managing the department's finances, a responsibility that should not be taken lightly considering the current economic climate.
