
A 13-year-old Sierra Vista boy's life was tragically cut short last week when he was shot and later died from his injuries, all possibly while creating videos for TikTok. Sierra Vista Police Department reports the incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, April 4, with calls about gunfire near 7th Street and Frye Boulevard leading officers to the discovery of the boy with a gunshot wound.
Young Khalil Robinson was in a parked car with two other minors reportedly making social media content when he was shot. Family members rushed him to a local hospital, but despite the urgent medical care, Robinson succumbed to his injuries the following morning, 12 News reported. The exact source, of the gunfire remains unclear, as does its intent or target.
"SVPD arrived on the scene around 9:35 p.m. in response to several calls reporting gunfire and a person who had been shot," according to ABC15. The police are actively investigating the situation to piece together the events that led to the tragic loss of such a young life. The details of the shooting, however, including where the shot originated, remain a mystery as the investigation continues.
As the Sierra Vista community grapples with this senseless tragedy, authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
